The Redeemed Christian Church of God, like a mustard seed planted sixty-four years ago has grown to become a mighty tree the shadow of which is serving as divine refuge to millions of souls across the globe. The Lord has helped His Church in breaking frontiers and reaching the supposedly unreached people - from the primitive level of savages at Koma Hills in Nigeria to the extremely civilized people in developed worlds such as Europe and America.

It is on this note that the authorities of the Redeemed Christian Church of God have deemed it fit to establish a Unit that will be charged with the responsibility of researching into how the Church could better serve the purpose of her establishment. How do we reach the changing world with the message of the unchanging God? This is a question that we are leaving with the Research and Development (R&D) Unit of this RCCG to answer among others.

The developmental responsibilities with which this Unit is charged is predicated upon the saying that when an individual stops growing he or she begins to die. This is particularly inevitable considering the frightening injunction of our Lord Jesus Christ in John 15:1-2.

It is with great expectation of best practices in research that we present this manual that contains the Policy and Guidelines for the development of our Mission, the RCCG as we continue to pursue our divinely given Vision and Mission statements. Also, we are believing God that the outcomes of the efforts of the stakeholders of this Department will give our Mission wholesome development as we harness all the tribes of the world with the kingdom of God and of His Christ. Thus, we shall fulfil the Great Commission as enunciated by our Lord Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15.
